The association “Via Francigena friends – Town of Santhià” was born in 2009 by a group of volunteers having the aim to welcome and give hospitality to the pilgrims arriving in  Santhià  and to promote and spread the knowledge of the itineraries in general and in particular Via Francigena, for which in the past Santhià has been a mandatory stop both for pilgrims arriving from Gran San Bernardo and for the ones arriving from Valle di Susa.Other aims of the Association “Via Francigena friends – Town of Santhià” are:

• The development of their territory and culture in each aspect: historical, artistic,  gastronomic, etc..
• The promotion of the knowledge of Via Francigena and of the pilgrimage in general considered in its cultural, religious and sport aspects.
• The link with other associations promoting the Via Francigena and the “walks” in general
